Event Parking Lot Attendant

Morgan State University Winter Commencement 

Event Details:

• Date: Friday, December 13, 2024 👈🏽
• Time: 05:30 AM – 3:00 PM  👈🏽
• Reporting Location: Comms Garage

Objective:
Facilitate the safe and efficient flow of foot and vehicle traffic before, during, and after the event.

Key Responsibilities:

• Traffic Management:
  • Direct vehicles to designated parking areas, ensuring efficient lot usage.
  • Safely guide pedestrian traffic around high-traffic areas and vehicle pathways.
• Customer Assistance:
  • Provide clear directions to parking locations and the stadium entrance.
  • Answer questions and assist attendees with parking or navigation concerns.
• Safety Enforcement:
  • Maintain order within parking and pedestrian areas to prevent congestion or unsafe conditions.
  • Report any emergencies, hazards, or unusual activities promptly to event supervisors.
• Event Support:
  • Collaborate with event organizers and security teams to manage crowd control effectively.
  • Assist in setting up and removing temporary signage or barriers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills to guide attendees and provide friendly assistance.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure during high-traffic situations.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work the full event schedule.
• Experience in parking operations or event staffing is a plus but not required.

Work Environment:
This role is outdoors and involves exposure to various weather conditions. A safety vest will be provided, but please be prepared for cold temperatures. Make sure to bring the necessary coat, jacket, gloves, and other warm clothing to stay comfortable.
